Behren-Lübchin

It is a slavic fortified settlement of the 11. and 12. century, which is located on the shore of the dried lake, in the tribal territory of the Črezpeňanů, today Mecklenburg. It is identified as the "urbs Lunekinca" chronicler Saxe Grammatica from the year 1184. E. Schuldtem were in the years 1956 to 1961 uncovered the two parts of the fort, which were connected with a wooden bridge. A smaller part of the castle (acropolis), was located on a narrow peninsula and a large forecastle was located on the mainland. The fortifications are well-preserved with regard to moisture. Were identified its two phases. The older had a wide bermu, wooden stage, jílovitý embankment and a private wall with fošnových the walls, which were filled with clay, peat and rocks. The younger rampart was ventricular structure, and had a stone lining. Outside the range of normal findings, such as pottery or bones, was also found a lot of wooden items: a container, vědérka, wagon wheels, axes with topory, shovels, maces, mallets with decorative capitals, carved figurines, etc.
