An extraordinary event for a flight had the crew of the aircraft Avro Lancaster Mk.I reg PA474, v. no VACH0052/D29, belonging to Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Of the aeroplane during the flight caught fire engine no. 4. The crew performed an emergency landing (with open chassis) on the RAF Coningsby where the engine put out my fire unit.
