Monday 29.12.2014 signed by the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko law on the abolition of the neutrality of the state because of the prospective entry into NATO, but said that the membership held a referendum.

In his speech in Kiev he further said that the works on the necessary economic reforms and the reconstruction of the armed forces in accordance with the standards of the EU and NATO with the fact that he is ready to leave decisions about membership on the citizens of Ukraine.

Pro-western parliament overwhelmingly adopted a law, which cancels the neutrality of the Kiev region due to NATO. Russia this law marked as counterproductive.

Furthermore, Petro Poroshenko announced that he plans to on 15. January 2015 meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, German chancellor Angela Merkel and president of France Francois Holladem.

According to Porošenkových words is the purpose of the meeting peaceful solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine and will take place in Kazakhstan's capital Astana.

The president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said last week during a meeting with Poroshenko confirmed that the supports Ukraine and expressed hope for a speedy end to the conflict between the regular army and pro-Russian rebels in the east of the state, which has so far cost the lives of more than 4,700 people.

Kiev and the west accuse Russia of fanning anti-state sentiments and attempts at destabilizing Ukraine because of its direction to the west. Moscow denies the accusations.

At the same time, the International monetary fund announced that at the beginning of January will go to the Kiev delegation, which in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities will assess the implementation of planned economic reforms.

At the same time, the IMF noted that "works in an accelerated mode, to assess with the Ukrainian authorities, support of the programs of economic reforms proposed by the IMF to stabilize the economy and kick-start its growth."

The IMF mission will arrive to Ukraine 8.January and will be there until the end of the month.

Ukraine, desperately in need of external economic aid, has so far received a loan of 4.6 billion USD in the framework of the aid package from the IMF and other creditors.

The fund stresses that, for the provision of further assistance will depend on the implementation of the promised reforms.
