Chassis designed as a carrier of special superstructures for military purposes, weighing 16 900 kg when the total allowable vehicle weight 29 000 kg. The vehicle is provided with a container partitions with a spacing of ISO 1C. ATX6 was designed in the framework of cooperation between the Czech company Tatra and the american Navistar International (former International Harvester). The vehicle is transportable in an aeroplane and has the ability to service the aviation fuel JP8.
