18.06.2014 - Cvičení Strong Campaigner 2014 začíná

In the middle of the 18. June 2014 was in the Military area Hradiště initiated command post staff exercise with partial leaving of the troops of the 4. brigade task force (4. BÚU) called Strong Campaigner. A ten-day training of Czech soldiers will run until Thursday 26. June 2014 and will end with a presentation day in which the demonstration of capabilities of units of land and air forces in the conduct of defense and attack fighting brigadier the task group. The exercise will engage the 4 900 soldiers with nearly 1 100 pieces of equipment and weapon systems of ground and air forces. Since the formation of the Army of the Czech republic is the second largest exercise in our territory, while the previous exercise BÚU took place in October 2006. Management exercise Strong Campaigner is the commander of the Ground forces command major general Jan Gurník, the commander of the 4. BÚU colonel Miroslav Hlaváč, the current commander of the 4. rapid deployment brigade.

The simulated tactical situation will test the ability of the commander and staff 4. BÚU effectively command the subordinate elements of the battle formation, to respond flexibly and appropriately to make decisions in the wake of the current developments on the battlefield. Activities of the headquarters and the method of warfare must comply with the requirements of the coalition partners, which put the soldiers of the task force destined to the alliance forces. It also implies a commitment to the Alliance to achieve the full operational capability of the Czech brigade task force, senior members of 4. rapid deployment brigade and complemented by additional elements from the whole of the ACR to 1. July 2014. National certification units 4. brigade task force and at the same time certification of the headquarters 4. BÚU and 42. mechanized battalion according to the evaluation of combat readiness for NATO operations - CREVAL (Combat Readiness Evaluation) will take place on 22. up to 24. June 2014 with the participation of monitors NATO. Itself to achieving full operational capability declares the readiness of the members 4. BÚU to the common defense of the territory of the Czech republic and participation in international operations in accordance with article 5 of the Nato treaty on collective defence of NATO member states.
