Machine gun designed by Andreas Wilhelm Schwarzlosem in 1902, in 1907 he was accepted into the armaments of Austria-Hungary. Was the standard machine gun R-U in WWI and after the war are fairly spread in both the successor states and in other countries where they got in reparations (italy) the Italians used it yet at the time of WWII. The German army had only druholiniových units. Between the wars he was in service with the CZECHOSLOVAK army, it was the gun redesigned to the hub 7,92x57 the same as the rifle vz. 24. The disadvantage was the need to lubricate the bullets, and thus the sensitivity of the weapons on pollution..

1. Hlaveň

It has a calibre of 8 mm and is 53 cm long. The barrel is used for shooting live rounds, and for shooting blank rounds the barrel is used for practice rounds. The barrel is smoothly drilled so that the paper of the blanks does not become lodged in the barrel. In order to increase the back pressure, it is drilled on both sides of the barrel, with a diameter of 4.7 mm in the middle.

5. Conclusion

It is the main part of the machine gun; held for shooting this activity:

  • Opens and closes the chamber of the barrel;
  • extends the firing pin and bring his blow;
  • pulls out and throws away the shells;
  • pulling the bullets from the belt and retracts it into the barrel chamber
  • moving feeder
  • moves the lubricating system
  • compresses the combat zpruhu

The conclusion consists of the following parts:

  1. závorníku;
  2. the inner and outer joint;
  3. firing pin (spoušťovým-arm)

A small insertion (I'll edit later) - I think that on Admin's photo from Zizkov is not Maschinengewehr 07/12, but Maschinengewehr 07 ... different shape between the radiator and the breech cover.
- ------------

A description of the different parts of the breech will follow, to make it clear how they are assembled together I attach the following picture.

The blue is the bolt housing with the slide advance, the green is the bolt housing flange, the dark grey is the firing pin, the light grey is the inner joint, the orange is the outer joint (the blue line shows the bearing of the outer joint on the bolt housing) the solid blue is the bolt and receiver, and the black is the barrel with the cooler.

How the individual parts of the conclusion fit is beautifully seen on the following picture. This is a photo of the machine gun vz. 07/24, but the overall report conclusion speaks well.

It is there to see the inner and outer joint, the nose of the inner joint and the nose of the firing pin, breech lever, trigger arm and předsuvná spring.

8. Feeder

Feeder lies in the casing of the feeder, which is attached at the bottom of the breech. It's five gears on a common axis. Managing the barbs breech bolt hole in the movement of the rotating feeder, then moves the cartridge belt and podvá bullets under the extractor rounds.

NumberNameDescription and purpose
1Coil ammunition belt2 gears with hákovitými teeth distant to the width of the belt. The teeth fit the hub. Rotates-even with a feeder, moves to the cartridge belt on the left.
2Capstana Wide gear. Grooves capture the bullets pulled from the belt, you are gradually scrolled in front of the chamber of the barrel.
3Rohatka latchfor a horn-job is 18 teeth (6 large and 12 small). During the movement of the breech bolt hole rewind turns about 1 big and 1 small tooth, when moving forward 1 mylý. Re-turning to the right prevents the latch attached to the housing of the feeder and pulled into the frame hatchway cases odavače.
4Zařaďovací disca wheel with 6 teeth; if the teeth pressed large and small managing the ravages of the breech bolt hole indicate the movement of the feeder.
5Gear couplingthe coil is firmly connected with the axis of the feeder. zařaďovací disc and rohatka are engaged over the notched clutch. Moves the li-secívka forward, the clutch is open, and the coil can rotate freely on both sides.
6Spring feederkeeps a notched clutch engaged (it is inside the clutch, not seen in the picture)
7Vysouvačusing compression vysouvače moves the axis with the coil forward and disconnect the toothed clutch
8Pouch feederprotects the feeder from pollution and is in him in two bearings saved the axis of the feeder and the latch. The pin and the rails is associated with case conclusion
9Hatch the sleeve feederis associated with a case feeder dvěna stěžejemi. The front has a hole for insertion of the belt. The pins fit into the dlabů the casing of the feeder, thus preventing spontaneous opening. The bracket ensures that connection
