Saurer 4K 3FA / Saurer 4K 4FA

Sauer - Werke designed and produced by the crawler transporter 4K 4F, into the armament of the austrian army was adopted in 1961. Followed types of 4K 3FA (engine capacity of 230 hp) and the 4K 4FA (the power of the engine 250 k). The final delivery of the vehicles took place around the year 1968, a total of were produced 450 vehicles. A further development arose OT 4K 7FA.

The vehicle structure is a classic concept, the driver sits vpřední the left of the vehicle, next to him is motorpřevodový space. The vehicle is deprived of all mounted equipment, including the original mounting. On the right side of the body in front, you can see the slots of the exhaust air cooling of the drive unit, approximately in the middle of the length of the upper edge of the side there are holders with spare track belt elements and below them holders of engineering tools. A material basket is installed above the rear of the vehicle.

The vehicle is equipped with a raised surface superstructure, which improves the observation conditions and increases the working comfort of the commander's / observer's station.
On the left side of the vehicle you can see the slots of the exhaust air cooling of the drive unit, approximately in the middle you can see a pair of foundation wedges and at the rear holders for engaging teeth, which can be mounted instead of rubber feet on the conveyor belts and increase the safety of the vehicle on slippery (icy) terrain. A material basket is (again) installed above the rear of the vehicle.
