Záchranánáři the Northern fleet of the RUSSIAN federation to participate in a trilateral international exercise Arktika-2014, which proběhme for the first time in the summer of this year in the space Pečorského sea (the southeast part of the Barents sea between the island of Kolgujev and Vajgač). The exercise involved maritime rescuers of Russia, USA and Norway. In the course of the individual episodes will be a common practice in rescuing the crews of ships and aircraft that sank in the sea.
The Russian side will be represented by the forces of search and rescue security of the Northern fleet in the assembly of the emergency towing vessel "Pamir", anti-submarine aircraft Il-38 and parašutisticko-rescue group, which is capable of parachute landing at sea level and quick to help the shipwrecked to the arrival of the main rescue forces and means.
Forces search and rescue security of the Northern fleet are equipped with the latest rescue equipment for providing extreme help at the premises of the Murmansk region, the Barents sea and the arctic ocean. Radius of use of rescue forces of the Northern fleet is from 200 km for the use of the helicopter (from the place of its take-off on the coast or from a boat deck) to 2500 km when using the aircraft Il-38 or An-26
