ЗГРЛС СПРН 29Б6 Контейнер
Zahorizontální radar station of system of warning against missile attack 29B6 Container

This resource was 2.12.2013 put into test combat readiness in Nižněgorodské area.

RLS was developed in NIIDAR (НИИ дальней радиосвязи), Moscow with the participation of the PKB OF (Правдинского конструкторского бюро завода радиорелейной аппаратуры) in the years 1995 to 2002. Were used experience and knowledge of the development, production and use of previous ZHRLS 5N32 Duga-1 and 5N77 Duga-2, Duga-3.

Own station made Pravdinskij radiozavod (Правдинский радиозавод)" concern Almaz-Antej, on the construction he has also worked OAO RTPT Granit from Ryazan (ОАО РТПТ "Гранит", г.Рязань) in the framework of the OKR NIIDAR from 2002 to 2013, when the trials were started.

Basic characteristics of the ZHRLS 29B6 Container:

29B6 Container is a 2D radar station with the spatial wave (coordinates, azimuth - distance, height not measured).

RLS has two antenna arrays (antenna with fázovanou bars) - transmitting and receiving, and two types of bars - high-frequency and low-frequency.

The length of the waves: dekametrová

- Remote range: 3000 km

the Construction of the CRL 29B6 Container:

RLS is deployed in two positions (ploščadkach - площадках):
- Post no 1 - system antenna, vlnovodných and the power transmitting devices for the shaping and broadcasting of high-frequency signals;
- Post no 2 - the system antenna and vlnovodných device intended to receive the signals reflected from the ionosphere, electronics is romístěna in převozných containers.

The receiving antenna has the following dimensions:
- width - 1300 m
- depth of - 200 m
- height - 34,155 m

RLS is stationed in the facility 5452, WOO 80158 (city Goroděc):
- Post no 1 - near the city of Goroděc, Nižněgorodská area;
- Post no 2 - near the town of Kovylkino (Mordovija - Мордовия).
Nb.FCH: object 5432, respectively. WOO 80158's former position tříkanálového anti-aircraft rocket complexis S-200 Vega.

the Coordinates of the transmitter position Goroděc: 53°58'55.29"N 43°50'37.76"E
Close to the city: Ružajevka, Vyksa, Rasskazovo
Coordinates the recruitment of the post of Kovylkino: 56°41'36.12"N 43°29'10.63"E
Close to the city: Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Kostroma
as the Crow flies are the places distant from one another approximately 300 km!

the Planned number of:

There are currently planned two ZHRLS:
- the first was put to the combat test mode in the city Goroděc;
- the construction of the other RLS should be initiated at the end of this until the beginning of next year in the far east, the integration into the system of the VKO (air-space defense) then in the year 2018.

In the number and deployment of stations 29B6 Container is the need to look for an analogy in the number and spacing of their predecessors, thus ZHRLS 5N77 Duga-2 and Duga-3.
These were also two:
- the first in Pripyat (Chernobyl)
- the second in Komsomolsku-on-Amur

Was built one more ZHRLS in Nikolajevu 5N32 Duga-1, she was even built as the first. For a full her but cannot be, because it was experimental and developmental ZHRLS, where tried technology and components around the device.

Russian over-the-horizon radar 29B6 'Container' (Over The Horizon Radar) is jamming the lower part of the 40 meter amateur radio band across Europe.

The ionosphere shifted down to 6.835 MHz may not have been dense enough at 7 MHz.

Over-the-horizon radar is used to detect objects beyond the site boundary. Most radars use microwave frequencies, OTHR uses HF frequencies that can bounce off the ionosphere.
OTHR is usually only good for larger moving targets. Large missiles, aircraft, etc. Ships can be seen but may be noisy due to slow movement and mixing with reflection off the ocean.
Now at 6.562 MHz... We should see the frequency increase as the sun rises and the ionosphere thickens.

It's a truly amazing world when I can stream raw IQ data from a receiver in Poland and scientifically analyze it in real time sitting on my couch in the US! See the phase changes....
