Deputies of the Kazakh parliament approved the 20.03.2019 premenovanie of the city to Nur-Sultan (Kazakh Нұр-Сұлтан), in honor of the doterajšieho president Nursultana Nazarbayev, who 19.03.2019 odstúpil of funkcie. The temporary president of the Kazachstanu Kasym-Žomart Tokajev podpísal 23.03.2019 yield a change in the name of the hlavného city landscapes Astana the Nur-Sultan.
