S/88 - Headquarters


J/88 - The fighter group initially consisted of three He 51 squadrons


K/88 - the bomber group initially consisted of three Ju 52 squadrons


A/88 - the reconnaissance air group was armed with He 70 and He 45 aircraft


AS/88 - a naval reconnaissance air group armed with He 59 and He 60 seaplanes


VB/88 - a test bomber squadron (Versuchbomberstaffel) in which the first He 111 and Do 17 aircraft delivered to Spain were tested


VJ/88 - test fighter squadron (Versuchjagdstaffel) in which the first prototypes of the Bf 109 were tested


P/88 - repair company


F/88 - the anti-aircraft artillery section consisted of three batteries of 88mm anti-aircraft guns, two batteries of 20mm anti-aircraft guns and a battery of searchlights


LN/88 - a liaison detachment consisting of a radiotelegraph company, a tefen company, an observation and reporting company and a guard company.
