General James Kowalski sacked "for loss of confidence" of the feature general Michael Carey, under whose command fell the operator of intercontinental ballistic missiles. The reason for his dismissal reportedly not related to the readiness or security of the missile forces. The vacancy was temporarily appointed general Jack Wienstein.
