Note:
Jednotka vznikla na jaře 1937 na v oblasti Armádního velitelství Střed. Tvořily ji XV , 110. a 24. smíšená brigáda a její velitelské stanoviště bylo v Morata de Tajuña. V červenci 1937, tváří v tvář bitvě u Brunete , byla 15. divize začleněna do XVIII. armádního sboru. 7. Boje potrvají do 25. The unit was established in the spring of 1937 at the Army Headquarters Center. It consisted of the XV, 110th and 24th Mixed Brigades and its command post was in Morata de Tajuña. In July 1937, in the face of the Battle of Brunete, the 15th Division was incorporated into the XVIII. Army Corps. On July 7, the unit participated in operations as a reinforcement of the 34th Division in the attack on Villanueva de la Cañada. After the fall of the city, the forces crossed the Guadarrama River and attacked to the left and right of the road that connected Brunete with Boadilla del Monte. The Republican advance was halted in the following days because it had to face intensified Francoist resistance. The fighting will last until July 25. The forces of the 15th Division suffered heavy losses during the battle. In the summer of 1938, the unit was sent to the Levante Front, assigned to the XXI. Army Corps.
