Kurt Goltzsch was born 21. November 1912 in Leipzig. The first kill was gained during the battle of Británi at 8. JG 2. 4. squadron JG 2 reached in Tunisia 14 kills. In France after he served as commander of the 5. JG 2. 12. July 1943 received the German cross in gold. But the 4. September 1943 lost in his Bf 109 G-6 clash with the spitfires in Monchy-les-Preux, and he was forced to make an emergency landing. The crash seriously injured his spine and was placed in a hospital in Glauchau, where 5. February 1944 he received the Knight's cross. The consequences of your injury 26. September 1944 he died. Posthumously he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander. To his credit he had 43 victories achieved in the West, of that at least in five cases, there was a čtyřmotorové bombers.
