the answer is simple it's about VW82 (better known as Kübelwagen) here in version panzeratrapen, therefore, as a dummy tank for training infantry, it was used quite commonly, at the beginning of the war, it is about a light construction of wood attached to a standard vehicle. Otherwise it's a nice photo. similar vehicles used the Romel in the landing in africa (but was done on the spot and looked otherwise) to the allies convinced of its strength..

I fully agree and I have a question on the confirmation or refutation of the opinion: it was not just about the training of infantry but perhaps also the basic (tactical) training of commanders of tanks? After all, it saves FUEL when the shifts in the actual distance... I have the impression that in the CSLA to our commanders brought to perfection - certainly many of the colleagues he remembers "vrčící" Twisted Evil of the crew of the tank, running in the field, "walk as on the vehicle". Laughing.

rather than consumption went on to wear the actual tanks, it is much more expensive than FUEL, if the dummy were used to training commanders, I don't know but rather no, the driving characteristics are a lot different and the terrain it very much does not fit, the infantry they get used on motor vehicles and on the shape of the tanks, learning to throw on them from behind grenades (dummy) and the like. As far as I know, the first similar to the dummy were on the BMW Dixi, even in the reichswehru..

Maybe it would be worth to recall the time when a similar vehicle was used. That was when it was forced by the simple fact that the other tanks were not. Even the light Pz.I have been too rare..

this Ice here, unfortunately you're wrong, the original photo is on the KdF 82 and the latter is produced only in 1940 when the destroyer was enough, the Original versions were really a substitute for tanks (even in Reichswehru), but made it seem a lot of a long time, there's even a photo of the dummy from Africa where it is again Kübel namaskovaný like an armored vehicle in the domestic striped substance (here, apparently as a thing to deceive the british) Get the original to mark his KdF 823 and it was the version made in the series sometime in 1940/41 and it is the one on the first photo, at the Branovo I don't know what it is built, but also to me it seems from the time of later..
