In 1922, the town of Turčiansky Svätý Martin bought the lands of Kozina on the southern side of the road on Strána (today the Heroes of the Slovak National Uprising) for the purpose of building barracks. A ground-floor brick building was built for the offices, the military garrison was housed in temporary wooden barracks.
The first building of Ďurek Langsfeld's barracks began to be built in 1923 (the first building from today's Gorky Street). The project was prepared by the military construction administration according to military building regulations. The construction was commissioned by the builders Hlavaj, Palkovič and Uličný through a public tender. The military supervision was in charge of Lt. Stošek. The masons on the construction site came from Liptov, the workers from Turčianske Svätý Martin and the surrounding area. handicrafts were carried out mainly by local craftsmen.

In 1925, the construction of a ground floor kitchen building began (on the north side of the barracks, next to the road on the Side). In the basement of the building there were warehouses and cellars. The construction work was carried out by the builder Eduard Jančárik with local workers, the craft work was mostly by local craftsmen. At the same time, the construction of another two-storey team building began on the south side of the barracks (next to today's Československej armády street). The construction was made by Holan and Kučera from Moravská Ostrava. The craftsmanship was mostly done by local artisans.

The city bought large plots of land from Sihote to Bukoviny and from Schulz's brickyard to the road to Strána and provided them to the Czechoslovak Republic for the construction of military facilities. In the years 1936 - 1944, a total of 26 buildings were built, some large two-storey buildings (Milan Hodži Barracks). In addition to the constructions, large areas of the training ground and access road were built, roads and pavements were made by rolling, brushing and stone concrete. Four storey houses with two-bedroom apartments were also built. All buildings were designed by the Military Construction Administration, construction supervision was performed by Maj. Klodner, Capt. Šulcek, Lt. Pašek, por. Goodness and others.
The implementation of the constructions was commissioned through a public tender. The construction work was carried out by the builder Eduard Jančárik (two warehouse buildings), the other buildings were carried out by the builders Hlavaj, Palkovič and Uličný and their colleagues. Some of the crafts were done by local artisans, most by cross-country artisans. Plumbing work was performed by Prague companies.

V roce 1938 byly v TSM troje kasárny:
Snad to k identifikaci stačí.
