The PP Mi-Ba anti-personnel Bakelite mine is designed to mine the terrain against enemy forces. Mines are laid by hand embedded in a mine bed made by a mine pin.

It is by its nature a bursting pressure contact mine, highly resistant to overpressure at the head of the shock wave.

The explosion occurs by stepping on the Ro-7 II fuse. The mine acts on the enemy's live force by detonating a 75 g tritol charge, causing injuries that disable the affected person from combat.

Description

The body of the PP Mi-Ba consists of a molded tritol cartridge. A Ro-7 II fitted with a Žk 2 combination detonator is screwed into the 75g detonator cartridge.

The striker mine contains a striker fuse housed in an action cartridge and a bursting charge.

Mine adjustment is limited to a 90° rotation of the fuse wing and is performed at the point of emplacement.

The anti-personnel mine is a non-removable unit.

The mine is not detectable by a metal mine detector.
