BRM-1K

Tracked armoured vehicle based on the BMP-1 designed to conduct tactical reconnaissance.

The vehicle is equipped with a device to protect the crew from the effects of WMD, an automatic charging device, infrared observation devices, targeting, navigation, reconnaissance and communications equipment, 2x3 smoke grenade launchers.

The turret is located in the centre of the hull slightly offset to the rear, the engine-gear compartment in the right front part. The driver sits in the left front part of the hull, with one swarm member behind him. The commander and gunner sit side by side in the turret. The swarm members use the two-piece door at the rear of the hull to enter and exit the vehicle. The turret has a full 360° sight picture and the gun sight picture ranges from -4° to +33°.

The vehicle is fully amphibious, with tracks providing its movement in the water. Before entering the water, a breakwater is erected at the front of the hull and the suction pumps are lowered.

In the CSLA ranks, BRM-1Ks were introduced into the armament of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion in Podbořany. As of 31 December 1997, a total of 15 BRM-1K vehicles were in the armament of the Czech Armed Forces.

BRM-1K is the vehicle for the leadership of the tactical survey (transcription from Russian: Bojevaja Razvědyvatělnaja Machine, etc.) is really a command - to the commander of the reconnaissance platoon from the assembly vševojskového regiment or the divisional recon battalion on the BVP. If my memory wrong, they were just guys in the Podbořany and 2 ks BRM-1K were in Vyškov, perhaps some more at the training department in Vajnorech/Bratislava.

Credits:
commander Twisted Evil, gunner operator Shocked (both in the turret, the commander of the right),
the driver Razz
explorer navigator Confused: (behind the driver, under a separate hatchway) and
2 explorers-operators Palba (on the back left and right).
The vehicle had automatic charging - ammunition for the main gun in the stendu between In and With-in the tower.

In the vehicle installed fixed radar 1RL33 - PSNR-5 (in the tower, I don't remember whether it was profitable as in the BPzV Svatava) under the cover essentially in the back between the hatches In and With-O (the tower was actually from a BMP-2 with the modifications, need to swelling in the back just to PSNR).

In the tower was not launchers of the FUSELAGE, in front of the commandant was control block radar equipment and also the boxes of a combined laser rangefinder (block P-01 from the PSNR right in the nuts).

Explorer navigator available device TNA-3 with a direct yield of coordinates on a map table (map 1:50 000 or 1:25 000 embedded under the perspex, the line with shading on the "mistake") - we had it rather than the device in Svatava - in BRMKu it was directly to see. Otherwise there was generator (at the back between the operators), the MRP or ERRS - radar searchers, passive infrahledy, manual and large and a lot of other "mess" - I've always had a fear that comes cockchafer with the finding that the vehicle is immobile and waiting for us carrying out the task on foot - of course with most of the odnositelného material. Although it does not appear, so the machine was more space than in the Svatava - all of our bags fit in.

Most "běhavé" were features of the navigator and both operators (now it should be added that the operators had separate hatches with viewing device), because you generally get out when propátrávání objects (the bridge, the settlement, the edge of the forest, etc.) and flew with RF-10 like a shot.
Unfortunately, the photos don't have - then we're on the machines were wooden frames that did not recognize that it is "something else".
If I'm not mistaken, in the back were just for 1 gun, and that in the door - I don't quite remember. Anyway, the navigator had a "hole" left in the front. Then I got the impression that he was shock absorbers even on a 2.running wheel (as u BMP-2 and BPz-In and I guess it's like with krabicovými fenders - but maybe I'm wrong.
The intention was to have in the assembly of the reconnaissance platoon, all vehicles tracked (at the platoon, always after a 1 piece BPzV Snezka for INC, 1 ks BPzV Svatava and 1 pcs BMP-1) and for the company commander, too Sněžka or Svatava.
When we practiced as SPzH - separate reconnaissance patrol, so it was kind of fun, to ride and movements after the civil the go (no UAZ with flashing light and PADka nice and we exchanged the glass for the lamp - black in white, on a drawer in the tower we have attached the modified beacon and URRRÁÁÁ Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil, the SCF Libava or Boletice were "our" even with the adjacent surroundings). The fun ended when practiced PzO - reconnaissance detachment, it was a whole company on one task, VR too, so nothing much. In addition, we according to the standards they were pretty spread out and it wasn't about the "touch sight" Rolling Eyes .

Worth noticing is also the fact that the vehicle only has shock absorbers on the rocker arms of the first and last pojezďáku on each side of the hull, which of course corresponds to the chassis BVP-1, but the drive wheels are the same as on the BMP-2 (or on BPzV Svatava) as well as belts are the same as on these vehicles (on the original strips of BVP-1 were on any article 3 záběrové teeth - one wide and two shorter against him, to BMP-2 and BPzV Svatava are 4 záběrové teeth - instead, the wider are two, against each other slightly to an angle built). The use of the drive wheels of the BMP-2 and travelling belts of the same type was, at least what I remember, the BRM-1K quite a rule of thumb, at least for those few machines that I came into contact....

Also the first picture I don't see zadýmováky on the sides of the tower and antenna next to the hatch With-About. I'll try to "google" some more photos, then we begin to think together about the possible change. Anyway, In Israel at the tables a person can meet many things, once upon a time, I witnessed how the director explained to mr. the then minister Lobkowicovi that the project BPzV Snezka is not BPzV Snezka, but one of the first BVP-2....

Behind the seat are then see the brackets rounds for the cannon and to the right of the vertical axis of the frame is a telescoping holder/cylinder ejection of the antenna radar 1RL133 (PSNR-5).

002 View of a space explorer operator and the space of the tower through the left rear doorIn the center of the frame is the pump to divorce pure/filtered air in the theatre with supply from the left from underneath and overhead pipes left and top right around the wreaths tower. On the end parts of the divorce are the protective rubber boots. Above you can see the body around the telescopic chimney the air inlet to the power unit and partly also the hatch of the explorer operator, the strips of fastening material on the ceiling of the vehicle, the green marked tube is part of the cooling system of the vehicle. To the right is seen part of the elektrovýzbroje vehicles and power generators, at the left edge of the image then the inner wall of the left fuel tank.

003 a View of a space explorer operator through the right rear door
In the center of the frame is to see the body of one of the two fuel tanks and a protective tube palivoznaku, the yellow marked pipes are parts of the fuel system of the vehicle – connect the individual parts (here the right internal fuel tank with right hand door. In photo 016, there is an R-014D device (green box) in the upper part, and below it the power supply block of the R-130 radio station. In this vehicle, the speedometer is used in cooperation with the R-130 radio station, which is above the speedometer, but it is not visible in this photo.
