During a training flight crashed machine NF-5A-2000 (69-3001, c/n 3001) belonging to the 134. squadron 3. wings (134 Akrotim Filo, 3'üncü Ana Jet Üs) of Turkish air force from the base Konya, in other words, from the aerobatic team Turkish stars (Türk Yildizlari/Turkish Stars).
In an accident unfortunately killed member of the group. The 31-year-old captain (Yüzbaşı) Ümit Özer became a member of the group shortly before this accident.
The crash occurred after take-off, approximately two kilometers from the base. The machine crashed into the grounds of the tractor factory, TÜMOSAN.
