Radio receiver R-1392, was produced already in period II. world war ii for the air force (RAF) as a terrestrial communications means for receiving and tracking aircraft, equipped with on-board UHF / VHF radio.

Frequency range: 100 to 150/156 Mc/s (MHz) crystals driven - according to the version of
Types of operation: A3 and A1

Power supply: AC single phase 190 - 250V; 50-60 Hz;
Power consumption: approximately 40 W

Receiver R-1392 have been outside the function of the communication used to be built into radio VHF finders of several types.
On the bc. D/F R 1392.

(Mostly it was about the installation of 2 receivers, allowing the operation of the reticle on the two channels).

In the navy (Royal Navy) was used under the designation "Receiver Model 62" (Receiver Unit 62)and with this designation we can meet in some materials about the automatic rangefinder D/F PV 10 or D/F PV 11.

As a power source for the receiver served the unit "Model 234A"

The receiver and power unit were mounted in a standard rack/frame w=48,3 cm /(Rack 19")
