In 1943, the conversion of captured RussianT-26 tanks into tank fighters was created. In place of the turret that was removed, a captured French 7.5 cm calibre anti-tank gun designated in the German Army 7.5 cm PaK 97/38 was mounted. The cannon had a characteristic massive muzzle brake with perforations. Due to the small carrying capacity of the chassis, it was not possible to build an armoured superstructure. The only protection for the crew was the cannon's shield. Only a small number of pieces were produced (sources usually mention 10 pieces). According to the sources, they were to be included in the 3. Company/563. Panzerjäger-Abteilung (7.1.1944).
Due to obsolescence they were withdrawn from service on 1.3.1944.
