Unit slúži during the battle 2. st. army. Ako unit zaradená under Juhoafrickú on. pechoty, the regiment slúži in time from júla 1940 to may 1941 vo východnej Afrike (Kenya, Somaliland and Ethiopia) and in the severnej Afrike from June 1941 to decembra 1942, ako súčasť 1. Juhoafrickej divízie pechoty.
