One of the most widespread and best mountain works in Europe. Introduced in 1915, after WWI in the service in Austria, Bulgaria, CZECHOSLOVAKIA, Hungary, Turkey and other countries. Italy used captured cannon and other that gained in reparations. After the occupation used by the German army.
In 1928, in Yugoslavia, introduced a slightly updated version, as the pattern 28. In WWII used many of the armies, in addition to the Wehrmacht also Italians, Slovaks, Romanians and Croats. the italians got it after WWI, in the framework of the reparations and used them as the "Obice Skoda da 75/13" for WWII

Mountain cannon vz.15 caliber 7.5 cm

Weapon system Skoda with a horizontal wedge in conclusion, produced in the years 1915-1919 Škoda works, a joint stock company in Pilsen (the designation of 7.5 cm Gebirgsgeschütz M.15) and in the years 1921-1924 joint Stock company, formerly the Škoda works Plzeň, with the war production gave over 2 000 guns and post-war other about 500 pieces.
The gun was made up of six transmission components, the main with the conclusion, cradle, shield, gun mount and wheels. The steel barrel was jacketed construction, tucked into the cradle with liquid brake and zpruhovým vratníkem, which was together with the shield and axle with two wooden spoke wheels placed on the chobotové carriage.

Home customer took over the nearly 240 pieces of cannon, in the various modifications has been exported to the Afghan kingdom, the Yugoslavian kingdom, the republic of Colombia and of the Romanian kingdom.
In the autumn of 1938 with more than 230 guns were in service with the Artillery regiment 201, impromptu were used in the construction of completed and nevyzbrojených artillery blockhouses, in addition, they were used as ship's cannons, and as the armament of some armored trains.
Since the summer of 1939 was to be gradually confused with a mountain cannon vz. 39 caliber 7.5 cm.

& # 283; one picture from the monument on Monte Piano in the Dolomites in Italy - surprisingly it stands in an Italian monument and not in Austria ... the inscription on the main block is skoda pilzen, but I look at the details different .... so if it's not export model for italy ....
