Iraklionská (Heraklionská) air stanica provide support (spojovacie) activity najmä pre 1603. air transportné that flank (1603rd Air Trasport Wing) and ďalšie units in podriadenosti USAFE from 05.10.1954. Core pôvodného staff base tvorili špecialisti pôvodne slúžiaci to Wheelusovej jet key in Lýbii. Základňa provide well aministratívnu and logistickú support pre 6931. squadron electronic security (6931st Electronic Security Squadron) and from 01.10.1978 pre all american troops and zariadenia on the island of Crete. Zájladňa provide aj spojenie pre needs veľvyslanectva US in Aténach. In 1993, bola základňa uzatvorená repealed. After niekoľkoročnej devastácii sa objects started používať pre civilné purposes - support to tourism (shops, Cretaquarium).
