The departure of the Czech delegation from Chelyabinsk, where it attended the unveiling of a monument to the Czechoslovak legionnaires who died in 1918, was complicated by a malfunction on board the so-called government special, one of the Airbus A-319 machines. The fault occurred in the machine's navigation system.
A second machine 24th Zdl was sent to pick up the delegation, which was also carrying spare parts for the malfunctioning machine.
