The Hungarian UV-21 receiver was designed for receiving VHF broadcasts at receiving and monitoring sites. It could also be used as a measuring receiver. It was an all-electron design with relatively good characteristics. It could also be used in tropical and polar regions provided it was placed in a closed room.
