American hunting cartridge introduced by Savage in 1915. The cartridge has very good ballistic properties and is therefore still in production today. The 6.5 g bullet has a muzzle velocity of 915 m sec. The bullet in the picture was manufactured by the Canadian-American company Canadian Industries Ltd. of Montreal and Pittsburgh.
