The Tanker Cartagena with a cargo of 40.000 tons of oil, belonging to pro-government company GNMTC (General National Maritime Company), was supposedly in the night from Wednesday to Thursday (03-04.08.2011) occupied by a special unit of an unnamed european state and eventually handed over to the rebel forces, fighting against the Leaders of the revolution (president) Muammar al-Kaddáfi. It happened without the knowledge of NATO.
The Tanker was moored near the territorial waters of Malta and after the cast headed to the port Benghazi, where he was allowed to enter.
