Order For freedom and independence
Order of Freedom and Independente

This high military order is in our conditions known and several of our citizens is the carrier code, which in the first type (made in the USSR) received for his meritorious and dangerous work.

Own a decoration was established in the year 1950 and that from the decision of the standing committee of the supreme people's assembly.

A decoration is intended to be an award of merit senior military officers, but also of the partisan commanders, who were involved in the fight against the "aggressor". The order was awarded by the soviet advisors and pilots, who in this war as "volunteers" fought.

The order is divided into two stages:
- 1. the degree of gold
- 2. degree silver

We distinguish the following basic types:
- l type, made in high quality of silver (Mondvor)
- IIa. type made in Korea, it comes in most of the generic gold-plated metal
- IIb. type, made in Korea, but worn on a chain that was designed for the supreme commander of the army

Description of the badge:

Avers:
The golden profiled starfish is loaded with red enamelled five-pointed star. The gold center medallion is a demonstration of the attack of the struggle for the support of tanks and aircraft.


Reverse:
The decoration has a Russian-style in the middle of the decoration bolt with nut for fastening on the uniform. The sign in Korean and a registration number. The size of this first type, which is made of solid silver has dimension: 56,7x55 mm.

Decorations produced after 1960 in the Korean people's democratic republic are made from base metal and finished with gilding or silvering. The rear side is provided with a needle for attachment to the garment.

In order hiaerchii, which is rather complicated, the order of the badge could sort about as is the case in the former USSR by the order of Alexander Nevsky.
