The other attached images show the Daimler Armoured Car vehicles together with the (Daimler) Dingo Scout Car (for size comparison), details of the vehicle chassis construction and a view of the Wireless Set No 19 radio installed in the rear turret of the Daimler Armoured Car.
Meanwhile, on the side wall of the tower (to the right and left of the radio station), the last (3.) picture, one can see the "firing port" (Pistol Port), which was used not only for small arms fire, but also for the eventual discharge of a hand grenade (in case of the need to "drive off" encroaching enemy soldiers who got too close to the vehicle) and especially for the ejection of spent cartridges of the main armament (2 pdr gun) of the vehicle.
It is questionable whether the 4-inch smoke grenade launchers could have been operated through this opening, but given the position of the two "firing ports", their diameter, the proximity of the radio station and especially the diameter of the turret turret, this can be (hopefully successfully) doubted.
But, "never say never"...
