Ruský výrobce dodal dalších pět letadel MiG-29K/KUB pro indické námořnictvo. Dodávka obsahovala i letecký trenažer a další technické vybavení. Je to na základě kontraktu podepsaného v roce 2004 na celkem 12 MiG-29K a 4 MiG-29KUB. Letadla budou zatím umístěna na základně ve státě Goa. Později budou umístěna na lodi Admirál Gorškov, která v současnosti prochází modernizací a počátkem roku 2013 bude zařazena do indického námořnictva pod jménem INS Vikramaditya.
