In May 2018, 4 decrees for the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross awarded to Adelbert Schulz were sold at a German auction. They were auctioned individually, but were bought by one auctioneer for a total price of EUR 1 100 000. He had to pay a total of EUR 1,353,000 with an auction surcharge. It is perhaps the most that has ever been paid for collector's military.

These decrees were produced under the leadership of Prof. Gerda Troostová based on her design proposals. Goldsmith's work, ie frames and eagles, was made by the old goldsmith's company of brothers Franz and Hermann Wadinger.

The decree shown is on oak leaves with swords and diamonds.
