After 6 years a fighter (and niekoľkých prímeriach) gained forces verné Assad 21.05.2017 control over the mestom Homs. On the basis of the agreement between the government of president Assad and povstalcami prebehla evakuácia rebel forces zo štvrte Vaira, poslednej parts of Homs under the ich control. Zostávajúci insurgents and their family members (about 1700 beds) boli evacuated to the north of Syria, najmä to the province Idlíb.
