In 1943, a small series of rocket tank fighters was created on the chassis of the captured English light armored personnel carriers Bren Carrier. In the battle area of Carrier was placed a bundle of three main rocket tarsnice caliber 8.8 cm Panzerschreck.
The crew consisted of a driver and commander sitting in the front and up to six "tankers". As a rule, however, their number was lower. Panzerfausts were also transported in the vehicle, which were used after getting off the vehicle. The machines served on the Western Front after the invasion of Normandy.
The vehicles were in a newly created state 3. Panzergrenadier-Division (from the rest 3rd Infantry Division (motorized) and 386th Infantry Division (motorized) )), which formed in the spring of 1943 in southern France.
