The missile is suspended from the sling by an APU-7 adapter.
For homing, either the RP-2U Izumrud-2 radar (Mig-19) or the RP-21 Sapphire (Mig-21) was used.
In the Czechoslovak Air Force it was used on the types: Mig-19PM (standard 4 pcs, only this version, not the "P" version, which was not equipped with the necessary hangers), Mig-21PF, PFM (max. 2 pcs), Mig-21MF (max. 4 pcs).
