Výroba dopravního vrtulníku Mi-38 začne v roce 2013. Zpoždění bylo způsobeno potížemi s dodávkami kanadských motorů Pratt & Whitney, které podléhají embargu USA. Podle kanadského výrobce je však nyní problém vyřešen.
