Forte Tre sassi - Il Museo della I Guerra Mondiale
Fort Tre Sassi is located on the roadside in the Valparola Pass (2197 m), near the more famous Falzarego Pass, which is also the best way to reach the fortress.
The fortress was destroyed on 5 July 1915 by fire from Italian artillery positioned at the Cinque Torri cliffs. Thirty shots hit the target, three of which completely destroyed the roof, as can still be seen today.
There are objects from the First World War found in this area of the front, photographs and documents that tell the history of the inhabitants of this mountain area affected by the war. The commentaries accompanying the exhibits and the audio guide, which can be borrowed, are in Italian, English and German. Admission is charged.
