The 48Ja6-K1 Podlet-K1 (48Я6-К1 Podlet-K1) is a mobile 3D radar operating in the 2-4 GHz band (so-called S-Band radar). It is designed to detect, track and guide targets (specially low-flying ones) up to a range of about 100 km.
The radar is installed on three vehicles (KamAZ-6350 8x8 - antenna vehicle, operators' workplace and energy block).

The 48Ja6-K1 Podlet-K1 radar is a versatile mobile solid-state 3D (triple-beam) radar with a universal phase array and detection of airborne targets at low and extremely low altitudes in complex clutter environments. The radar complex was developed by Almaz-Antei for the Russian Air Force. The complex is designed to issue target designations for the S-300, S-400 and similar air defense systems. A prototype radar was launched by Almaz-Antey Concern in 2009. State trials of the complex began in 2010. The first deliveries of the Podlet-K1 radar to the Russian air defense forces began in 2015.
The radar provides: - automatic detection and determination of target coordinates - interception and tracking of any aerodynamic targets, including poorly detectable ones - nationality recognition - issuing target information to air defense systems and fighter aircraft
The radar has several alert modes:
- Low-altitude detection mode is the primary combat mode, providing information on the track or coordinates of targets operating at low and extremely low altitudes. - Altitude detection mode is a combat mode that provides route or coordinate information for targets operating at low, medium, and high altitudes. - Long-range detection mode is a mode that provides reception of route or coordinate information for targets operating at long ranges in a simple jamming environment. - Mountain mode - mode to receive track or coordinate information of targets operating at low and extremely low altitudes when the radar is installed in mountainous locations.
Main characteristics Frequency range of radiation - centimeter band Number of simultaneously detected targets - 200
Range of coverage: - 10-200 km - 10-300 km (supplementary mode) - maximum detection altitude is 10 km
Detection area: - azimuth - 360° - by elevation angle - from -2° to +25° and (from -7° to +12° in supplementary mode) - target speed is up to 4400 km/h
Target coordinate measurement accuracy: - in distance - 200 m - in azimuth - 1,6°
Area tracking time - 5 and 10 seconds Reflection suppression coefficient from local objects - 50 dB Time of complex deployment is 20 minutes.
