Ukroboronprom UAV Ljutyj Ljutyj is a larger unmanned strike aircraft of traditional design. It is probably based in design on the multi-purpose Horlytsia (Gorlitsa) UAV developed by Antonov (Антонов), a company belonging to the state-owned Ukroboronprom (Укроборонпром). Antonov was known to have been developing a heavy UAV before 2022. Known data: - warhead weight: 75 kg - range: over 1000 km Note: The Ukrainian word: ljutyj (лютий) translates as wild, fierce, furious. The abbreviation BPLA (БПЛА) means bezpilotnyj lital'nyj aparat (bezпілотний літальний апарат).
The Russian Federation has shown the wreckage of the Lyutyy drone, which answers some questions about its design and warhead. The shoot-down was believed to have occurred in the area of the city of Jaroslavl.
